In China, a child was reunited with his parents after 37 years

Zhaozhuang: In a recent shocking incident, a couple in China reunited with their son 37 years after the 1-day-old baby was given to a couple by his grandmother in 1986.

According to Chinese media, the child’s grandmother, believing that the couple would not be able to raise the child due to their poverty, adopted the child to a family headed by a man named Zhao.

The child’s father Lee and his wife did not agree with this decision, but the grandmother secretly handed the child over to another family. Later, Dadi explained that she took this decision after seeing their financial difficulties.

It is unclear how much Zhao paid the grandmother.

According to local media, after the grandmother’s death, Li and his wife searched for their missing son for three decades. According to the Ministry of Public Security’s database, in February the couple’s blood samples were found to be a match to a man named Peng who lived in Zhaozhuang, Shandong province, reuniting son and parents after 37 years.
