Washington: The American space agency NASA has revealed the possibility of returning the astronauts who have been stuck in the International Space Station for 2 months by the Boeing Starliner next year.
The Boeing Starliner is the space vehicle that carries astronauts to the International Space Station.
Astronauts aboard Boeing’s Starliner, which was supposed to return after a weeklong mission, have now been stranded there for two months but could be brought back by a SpaceX flight next year in 2025, NASA said at a news conference.
Crew members Butch Wilmore and Sunny Williams have been on the International Space Station for 63 days and no return date is currently in sight, NASA updated reporters at a news conference.
Butch and Sunny arrived at the ISS on June 6, the first crew test flight of Boeing’s Starliner capsule.
