Moscow: Police have fined a Russian citizen who dyed his hair inspired by the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

According to media reports, Stanislav Netisov, a man from the capital Moscow, was recently fined 50,000 rubles ($543) for dyeing his hair in a color similar to the Ukrainian flag.

The incident started when Stanislav was attacked by unknown persons at a bus stop in Moscow, as a result of which his tooth was broken and the assailants also stole his phone.

However, the next day when he went to the local Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tverskoy district to report the attackers, instead of helping him, the authorities looked at his hair with disapproval.

Stanislav had dyed his hair yellow, blue and green, a symbol of Ukraine for Russian security agencies and a punishable crime. Stanislav could not get help from the security agencies regarding the attackers, but he has been fined 50,000 rubles (543) dollars because of his hair color.
