United Arab Emirates; Reduced working hours of public and private employees during Ramadan

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has announced a reduction in working hours for public and private employees in observance of Ramadan.

According to Arab media, astronomers have shown the possibility that the holy month of Ramadan will begin on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Preparations for the reception of this holy month are going on in full swing around the world.

The United Arab Emirates, maintaining its tradition, has announced a reduction in working hours this year to facilitate those fasting in Ramadan.

The Ministry of Human Resources of the United Arab Emirates has announced that the working hours of employees during Ramadan will be from Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 2.30 pm and on Friday from 9 am to 12 noon.

Employees working longer than these hours will be paid overtime. Remember that Saturday and Sunday are holidays in UAE.
