New York: UN chief Antonio Guterres has called for a ceasefire in Gaza during Ramadan.

United Nations chief Antonio Guterres said in a statement that the release of hostages and the removal of all obstacles will ensure the supply of life-saving medicines to Gaza.

“We have to take steps to prevent more deaths in Gaza,” he said. History is watching us and we cannot look away from it. The carnage that has been going on in Gaza for months has never been seen as the Secretary General of the United Nations.

Antonio Guterres said that Ramadan is the month of peace and brotherhood. It is sad that violence and atrocities continue in Gaza even in this month.
