Geneva: Israel has called on the UN Security Council to press Hamas for the unconditional release of nearly 200 of our hostages.

According to the World News Agency, this demand was made by Israel’s Foreign Minister Katz in an important meeting called by the 15-member United Nations Security Council to review the American request.

The United Nations Security Council meeting reviewed the US report on individual and collective physical violence and sexual harassment of Israeli women at various locations in the October 7 attack by Hamas fighters.

The Israeli Foreign Minister added in his speech that Hamas’s terrorism and incidents of physical violence and sexual harassment against Israeli women should be condemned and Hamas should be banned like ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

The American ambassador said in an address to the United Nations Security Council what happened in the attack of Hamas on Israel on October 7. There is no doubt about it, there is evidence of destruction and cruelty.

The US ambassador to the United Nations added that the only question now is how we respond to these crimes by Hamas. The Security Council should condemn Hamas instead of standing silent.

On this occasion, Palestinian Ambassador Riyad Mansour said about Israel in the Security Council meeting that Israel is relocating from Gaza and wants to make Gaza a city that no one can live in.

It should be remembered that on October 7, 2023, about 1,500 Israelis were killed in Hamas’s attack on Israel, in response to which Israel continues to bombard Gaza, in which about 33,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 64,000 have been injured.

Half of the martyred and injured in the Israeli bombardment are women and children, while 2.3 million Palestinians have become homeless in Gaza due to the continuous bombing, and hunger and poverty have been encamped due to the non-delivery of relief goods.
