Karachi: Psychologists say that the rate of mental illness is increasing in women in Pakistan as compared to men, but unfortunately, women neglect mental health due to the busyness of their private and professional lives.

He expressed these views in a seminar on women’s mental health organized by Karwan Hayat on the occasion of International Women’s Day, in which Karwan Hayat CEO Arshad Rahim and psychologists Dr. Iqbal Afridi, Dr. Aniza Niaz, Prof. Naseem Chauhri. attended.

CEO Karwan Hayat Arshad Rahim said that for the last 40 years, Karwan-e-Hayat has been fighting against mental illnesses and negative images related to them. Half of the world’s population consists of women, without the role of women, the country’s development is not possible.

Dr. Iqbal Afridi said that if the son is sick, people immediately take him to the hospital, but if the daughter is sick, the matter is postponed to the next day. After seeing the condition of the Gynecology Ward of Jinnah Hospital, I decided that I will now give Zakat to the Gynecology Ward. Now girls are getting most of the seats in medical colleges.
