A three-foot-tall young man in India has fulfilled his dream of becoming a doctor despite his short stature.

According to Hindustan Times, 23-year-old Ganesh Braya in the Indian state of Gujarat has managed to fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor despite his unusually short height.

The three-foot-tall Ganesh Braya was initially disqualified for admission to MBBS by the Medical Council of India, saying he could not handle emergency cases due to his short stature.

Ganesh, however, did not give up and to fulfill his dream, he along with his school principal sought help from the district collector and the state education minister.

Ganesh Braya approached the Gujarat High Court against the Medical Council of India where he lost the case but still his determination did not waver.

He decided to file an appeal against the verdict in the Supreme Court from where Ganesh Braya finally won the case in 2018 and finally managed to get admission in MBBS in 2019.

After MBBS, Braya has also done an internship at a hospital in Bhavnagar. Whenever patients see me, they are shocked at first, but then they accept me as their physician, says Ganesh Braya.
