Karachi: One of the great blessings that God has bestowed upon man is the power of energy. If there is no sense of smell, a person may not be aware of stale and rotten food, the sense of dirtiness will be reduced and he will be deprived of the pleasure of smell. That’s why the use of fragrances around the world is associated with beauty. However, most of the people are unaware of its correct usage and long-lasting effect methods and believe in few assumptions. Let’s know their origin today.

Hypothesis 1: Rubbing a scent makes it last longer

This assumption is very common. You have often seen people applying perfume on one wrist and rubbing it on the other wrist.

According to them, the age of the perfume applied in this way increases. But the reality is the opposite. Due to friction, the perfume molecules break up and fly quickly into the air. It is just like trying to keep a fire burning by fanning it after lighting it.

Second Assumption: Only one fragrance should be applied at a time

Most people believe that wearing more than one fragrance at the same time will clash with each other and thus no single fragrance will be able to maintain its effect. But this is not true. The fact is that by using different fragrances together you create a distinct and unique fragrance that is completely your own choice and creation. And all the aromatics used in this process do not affect each other at all.

Hypothesis 3: Fragrance has no shelf life

Since most perfumes do not have an expiration date, it is assumed that they do not have an expiration date. While the fact is that light, heat, sun, humidity and many other factors affect its quality over time. Therefore, it is better not to try to keep any perfume in a bottle for many years.

4th Assumption: Perfume should be applied only to the pulse

There is no specific place to apply perfume, it can be applied to any part of the body. However, applying it to places that generate heat can make the effect last longer. So, applying it to the pulse points like the wrist, behind the ear, neck, ankle or arm will preserve the scent of the perfume for a long time.

Here are some of the common assumptions about the use of fragrances, but that’s not all. If you know of any assumptions other than these, do share your opinion in the comment section.
