London: Former British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill’s gold-cast fake teeth were sold for 18,000 British pounds (6.343 million Pakistani rupees).

This set of six upper teeth was made in such a way to prevent the British Prime Minister from stuttering, wearing which he made famous speeches during the Second World War.

These teeth were so important to Churchill that he always carried two such sets with him. The auctioned set was made for him at the beginning of the war.

Auctioneers Cotswold Auctions said the teeth sold for more than double their £8,000 estimate.

Winston Churchill, who took over as Prime Minister during World War II in 1940, suffered from dental problems throughout his life. He lost most of his teeth in his 20s.
