New Delhi: The Modi government barred educationist Professor Natasha Kaul from entering India to attend a conference and sent her back to the UK at the airport.
According to Indian media, educationist Natasha Kaul is a Kashmiri Pandit and currently resides in the UK. He was invited by the Congress government in Karnataka to attend the ‘Constitution and National Unity Convention 2024’.
Professor Natasha Kaul had arrived in the Indian city of Bangalore from the UK to participate in this conference, but despite showing her travel documents and permission from the Karnataka government to attend the conference, she was denied entry to India and sent back to the UK.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Professor Natasha Kaul has been raising her voice against the inhumane treatment of Kashmiris and is also considered a supporter of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
This is the reason why, based on the report of the Indian intelligence agencies, the immigration authorities at the Bengaluru airport deported University of Westminster Professor Natasha Cole.
In a statement, Professor Natasha Kaul said that I was barred from entering India for discussing democratic and constitutional values, although I was invited by the Congress government of Karnataka as an honorable delegate to the conference, but the Modi government at the Center rejected me. He was not allowed to enter India.
