Hong Kong: Four engineers from Hong Kong broke the record of a Pakistani engineer by building the world’s smallest humanoid robot.

Four members of the robotics team from Diocesan Boys School, Aaron Ho Yet Fung, Isaac Zachary Tu, Justin Weng Tu Dong and Gu Hai Leung, combined to build a 5.55-inch robot, which is 0.44 inches smaller than the previous record-setting robot.

Earlier, this record was held by Pakistan’s Zain Ahmed Qureshi, who made it in 2022.

According to Guinness World Records rules and regulations, this category requires that the robot must be able to move both shoulders, elbows, knees and hips while walking on both feet.

The robot’s acrylic panels and 3D-printed components were designed and built in the school’s robotics lab.
