Sterling: Scientists on plastics Proteins have been discovered that have the ability to dissolve plastic.

A study conducted by scientists at the University of Stirling in Scotland highlighted the important role of bacteria living on plastic waste.

In the study, they found evidence that could be used to determine whether the plastic decomposes (which takes hundreds of years to occur).

The findings highlight the importance of further research to determine the function of micro-organisms on plastic waste in the ocean, the researchers said.

The research also identified a rare and unknown bacteria that could help break down plastic and could be used as a new way to tackle plastic pollution.

In the study, experts examined the proteins in plastic samples taken from the coast of Glan, East Lothian, Scotland.

Research led by Seiben Metalana-Serget analyzed proteins secreted by active microorganisms with a different approach.

Dr. Sebin said that plastic pollution in the marine environment has reached dangerous levels. Trillions of pieces of plastic litter the world’s oceans.
