London: The silver trophy of the Scottish Highland Games, lost almost a century ago, is going to be part of the competition once again.

The Cabrash Trust (which revived the Cabrash Picnic and Games as part of the Scottish Highland Games in 2022 after it was discontinued in 1934) said the Rose Bowl trophy was discovered in Devon, a county in England.

The trophy was introduced to the sport in 1926 and continued to be used in competitions until 1934.

When the competition resumed in 2022, the trophy was last on record held by Ron Taylor, whose father won it for the best performance in the competition.

The trust issued a public appeal for the trophy, asking for information about it, which Ron Taylor’s 73-year-old son, Adrian Taylor, saw.

Adrian Taylor said he was cleaning his house when he found the Rose Bowl in a section. When he googled to know more about it, he came across a request from the management to return the trophy.

He traveled a distance of 941 km to return the trophy to the trust and returned the trophy.
