London: A 285-year-old lemon present in an outdated wardrobe drawer within the UK has been auctioned for $1,780 (Pakistani Rupees 492,897).
Brattles Auctioneers from Shropshire, UK, mentioned a household introduced a Nineteenth-century cupboard to their public sale home, which they mentioned belonged to their late uncle.
Whereas a photographer was photographing the cupboard on the market, a lemon fell out of a drawer on the again.
One of many lemons found was inscribed with a message indicating that it had been given to Miss E. Baxter on November 4, 1739 by Pilou Franchini.
The public sale home tried to promote the outdated lemon and the organizers had been stunned to see a bid of $1,780.
The cupboard, then again, bought for simply $40.
