Buckinghamshire: Archaeologists recently discovered a 1,700-year-old intact Salim egg in Britain.

According to media reports, archaeologists in the British region of Buckinghamshire have discovered something the world has never seen before, a preserved egg that is at least 1,700 years old.

According to experts, this egg is the world’s oldest unintentionally preserved egg. The researchers were even more surprised when they also found that the egg was still filled with its original liquid.

Edward Biddulph, senior project manager at Oxford Archaeology, said it was “absolutely incredible” that the egg still had its liquid intact. “When we discovered the egg, we expected all the liquid in the egg to have come out, but it was not,” he said.

The egg was found in a large pit filled with water that was prepared by the Romans. The pit was originally used for making wine and then it was appropriated for the altar.

A basket, pottery, coins, leather shoes, animal bones and other eggshells were also found in the pit.
