In a video captured on the streets of Beijing, Mysterious “rain of worms” in China and several cars were portrayed with their surfaces full of what appear to be worms.

So far the authorities have not delivered an official version, which has pushed a series of speculations around the strange situation.

A striking fact has gone around on social networks in recent days and has several people wondering what it could be. We are talking about a viralized record in which it is observed how a supposed “rain of worms” fell on the windshields of cars parked on the streets of Beijing, China.

As has happened with other events, the TikTok platform was the place where the video of vehicles “bathed” in worms began to spread. Their Internet users began to speculate a series of theories, some rational and others rather far from reality.

And there is still no official certainty about the explanation of the images. The Chinese authorities have not commented on the alleged rain of worms, which has led to further raising mystery.

A striking fact has gone around on social networks in recent days and has several people wondering what it could be. We are talking about a viralized record in which it is observed how a supposed “rain of worms” fell on the windshields of cars parked on the streets of Beijing, China.

The possible origins of the “rain of worms” in China

Some social media users have linked the Asian country’s incident to the “worm full moon,” the last winter supermoon in the planet’s northern hemisphere and named after Native Americans.

Precisely, in this case, the phenomenon of the “rain of worms” coincided with the last full moon of winter in China, which is planned to occur this Tuesday, March 7.

Another hypothesis, with a little more logic, states that the “rain of worms” would be nothing more than poplar flowers, which physically look very similar to those of a worm. At the same time, it is quite common to see these flowers scattered on the streets of Beijing.

Years ago, media such as Daily Mail and BBC reported quite similar events that occurred in Scotland (2011) and Norway (2015). In that period, the old journal Mother Nature Network claimed that the explanation for caterpillars “falling from the sky” lies in tornadoes and storms that have happened before.

Because of the above, it is believed that the worms may have been blown away by the wind until they reached the site of their fall.

As in the ten plagues. Hundreds of strange bodies resembling larvae or worms scattered on parked cars and roadways star in a video on a Beijing street that has gone viral in recent days.

So far it is not clear if they are really worms or insects, which has given rise to other hypotheses. Among them, three stand out.

The first suggests that they could actually be poplar flowers from nearby trees.

The second is that the insects were dragged by a whirlwind of wind, which, losing strength, dropped them from the sky.

The third theory that has gained more strength, finally, is supported by the scientific journal Mother Nature Network, which states that this type of incident with animals occurs after a storm or taken.

In addition to these, other hypotheses suggest that the animals could come from a nearby infested building. Be that as it may, the authorities have not spoken out and the nature of the phenomenon remains, therefore, shrouded in mystery.
